Waves - Big Fun...
| A few times a year, Pacific storms
and the underwater topography of Maui's northshore combine to create monster waves in an
area known as JAWS. Many believe these are the world's biggest and most radical
waves which have been reported as high as 70 feet. |
|
| Only a handful of surfers and windsurfers
even try to ride these enormous waves. Those who do have spent countless hours
developing their skills to a level necessary to dare taking this kind of a risk.
Each rider is drawn to the thundering waves for different reasons, but the
experience itself makes them feel alive in a way that most people will never encounter in
their lives. |
